So, this is my holiday special.
I'm going to tell you the story of the ornaments that I over the last SEVEN years.
It all started with these little gold plated crossstich ornaments that I received as a gift. I didn't like the pattern that came with them, so I made new ones:

I used the image on the left as a basis for them. When they were done, I decided that I wanted to make more Sailor Moon stuff for our new tree. So, next, I ordered a Princess Serenity doll and customized it for my needs: elaborated on the skirt, added a cone, and there was originally a pair of feather wings and a long bow, but certain little kitties decided that they'd rather play with them. So, this year I made new stuffed fabric wings for her.

So next, I wanted to make more ornaments, like the ones Mom made for the family's tree, but in my own style. So I picked an image to base the new ornaments on, one that had all the Sailors in it:

Sorry it's so small, but you get the idea. I made myself some graph paper, and painstakeingly converted the figures into little outlined blocks of color. It's taken a loooooooooooooong time, but I'm generally pretty pleased with the results.
