In Opera 11.10+, if you're subscribed to "[Gmail]/Trash" and "[Gmail]/Spam", "All Messages/Trash" and "All Messages/Spam" will be synced with them and Opera's "delete", "undelete", "mark as spam" and "mark as not spam" commands will follow the corresponding actions in the table above. That way, you don't have to drag so much.
When Opera's "delete" command is invoked in "[Gmail]/Trash", it will mark the messages as \Deleted and expunge them so that they're gone for good. Opera's "delete permanently" command in "[Gmail]/Trash" will work the same.
Opera's "delete permanently" command will follow the delete action in the table above for starters. Then, once those messages are in "[Gmail]/Trash", they'll be marked as \Deleted and expunged so that they're gone forever. That way, you can use "delete permanently to bypass the trash when deleting if you want.
Opera's "Empty Trash" command in the mail panel context menu will mark all messages in "[Gmail]/Trash" as \Deleted and expunge them so that they're gone forever.
